FAQ

We anticipated your enquiring minds and have included the following information pages on our site:
About Us, Return Policy, Shipping, Secure Payment & Contact Us.

Here is a list of answers to questions that have some how made it past our best laid plans......

Is this all you have?

No, not nearly. We're only just getting started. Check back from time to time as we fill our catalogue with the accents you've been asking for. If you saw something at our outlet in Kenogami that is not offered on this website it is probably because our supply of that item is limited. Simply let us know by email what it is & you can purchase it through 'The Outpost'.

Can I ship my purchase to someone as a gift?

Yes. Fill out the shipping information accurately in our secure check out. Give us details in the "Special Notes" section including whose name(s) you would like on the complementary gift card we will include and what your gift is for (birthday, friendship, house warming, etc.).

How safe is it to shop on your site?

We don't fool around. When we went shopping for security for your transactions with us we decided to subscribe to VeriSign. Over 93% of Fortune 500 companies use VeriSign SSL Certificates to protect e-commerce and other private information with 128-bit encryption, the strongest SSL protection available anywhere. If this answer doesn't make sense to you, let's put it another way. They're very expensive and they fully guarantee their protection.

I trust the security of your site, but are you private?

Yes we are. We will not share your e-mail address with anyone. We appreciate your business and we want to keep you all to ourselves!

Who pays taxes?

Ontario customers only pay our province's sales tax. All Canadian customers pay our beloved federal Goods & Services tax. All American customers get off tax free from us, but don't start partying just yet. Free trade or not, the state you reside in could apply their sales tax. We ship with all documents displayed on the outside of the packaging.

Do your weather sticks really work?

Yes. We have sold hundreds of them over the years in Kenogami without a single complaint. One customer informed us recently that their stick is keeping track of their weather in New Zealand. The major variable that will effect the amplitude of the movement of your stick, by barometric pressure and humidity, is its full exposure to the south. Of course, our friends in New Zealand expose their weather stick to the north because they are in the southern hemisphere.

What is the meaning of life?

In August, 1984 I was lying on our dock watching the annual Perseid meteor shower in the skies over Kenogami Lake. That's when the answer to the age old question came to me. Unfortunately, I fell asleep. When Val called down from the house and I awoke, I forgot. You're welcome to join me this summer at meteor shower time as I try once again to rekindle that memory and rediscover the answer of the ages. BYOB!
