Just south of the eastern continental divide along the northern fringe of Ontario's Temiskaming District lies a vibrant area of cottage lakes. With a combined total of over 400 waterside properties, Kenogami Lake and Lake Sesekinika have been recreational lakes since the 1930's. For over 50 years there has been a store on the height of land between them. Long time cottagers on both lakes call the store 'the outpost' and count on it for all those things that help make the roughing it a little easier.

Welcome to The Kenogami Outpost. Here we present to you popular accents for living in our neck of the woods. Valerie runs the current 'brick and mortar' version of the outpost. Luce is an avid Sesekinika cottager and brings her data processing skills to operate the 'cyber version'. Their combined love of country and cottage living is reflected in their product choices presented on this website. Many things offered here are not available in Valerie's store. It's a collaborative effort and, in case your wondering, both of their husbands do what they're told!
